The third day of the Tour de Hongrie (UCI 2.Pro) was the queen stage of the race. On the 182km long stage between Kazincbarcika and the summit finish in Gyöngyös- Kékestető, the climbers in the peloton were tested for the first time. After a lead out by his BORA - hansgrohe teammates on the final climb, Emanuel Buchmann attacked 1.5km before the finish, was able to go clear and already looked like the stage winner. Only a few meters from the finish line, the German champion had to admit defeat to T. Nys and D. Ulissi, who came sprinting from behind. Tour de Hongrie: Emanuel Buchmann 3rd in Gyöngyös-Kékestető mountain finish 

In Hungary, the five-day Tour de Hongrie (UCI 2.Pro) kicked off today with a day for the sprinters. On the 166km stage between Karcag and Hajdúszoboszló, the breakaway of the day was controlled by the peloton and ultimately caught with 13km to go. The partnership between Red Bull and team manager Ralph Denk's operating company has been formally sealed. Starting with the 2024 Tour de France, Red Bull will join long-time partners BORA and hansgrohe as another main sponsor. Starting in 2025, a new U23 program will also bridge the gap between the juniors and the WorldTeam.&nbsp;After the foundations for the joint venture were laid at the end of January, the partnership was worked out in just three months and officially signed this week. From the Tour de France onwards, the German team will ride in the peloton with a new look and under the name "Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe". It is a further milestone in the Rookie Program, which already consists of the junior team "GRENKE - Auto Eder" as a recognised talent factory and the "Red Bull Junior Brothers" as an innovative scouting campaign. With the new U23 team, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe will offer the best talents a continuous career path from the juniors to the WorldTour starting in 2025.

Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe ready to go

Four weeks after his <a href="https://www.bora-hansgrohe.com/en/news/lennard-en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">serious training accident</a>, Lennard Kämna can leave the hospital in Tenerife. The 27-year-old will be flown to Hamburg today. There his injuries will be further treated by the doctors of the BORA - hansgrohe medical department and he can start his rehabilitation at the BG Klinikum.&nbsp;On April 3, Lennard Kämna suffered numerous injuries, especially to his chest, in an accident during a training camp in preparation for the Giro d'Italia. He underwent successful surgery last week in Tenerife.&nbsp;Lennard Kämna<blockquote>"Thank you for all the support over the past few weeks. I would especially like to thank my girlfriend and my family who have done everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible. It has not been an easy time at the University Hospital in Tenerife, but I am very grateful to the medical team and nurses for what they have done for me over the past few weeks. I am overjoyed that the first step of my recovery has been completed today and that I can now move on to Hamburg: I will start my rehab there and I am highly motivated to get back on the bike as soon as possible. Lennard Kämna can leave hospital in Tenerife

On the road from Turin to Rome, the search for the successor to Jai Hindley and Primož Roglič will get underway. Dani Martínez will be the GC leader for BORA - hansgrohe, fighting for a top result. Three years ago, he already achieved it when he placed 5th overall.&nbsp;&nbsp;Enrico Gasparotto, Sports Director for BORA - hansgrohe at the Giro d'Italia:&nbsp;<blockquote>"We want to achieve a top 5 in the GC with Dani. He performed very well at the start of the season and apart from the crash at Strade Bianche, his build-up to the Giro has been solid. Line-up for the Giro d'Italia 2024

Jai Hindley and Florian Lipowitz - two riders who have much in common but are at different stages of their careers. Both are climbers and GC riders currently racing for BORA – hansgrohe at the Tour de Romandie. While one already has major Grand Tour trophies at home, the other is just about to make his Grand Tour debut. &nbsp; The winner of the 2022 Giro d'Italia, as well as stage winner and wearer of the yellow jersey at the 2023 Tour de France, Jai Hindley, has extended his contract with BORA – hansgrohe in time for the 2024 Grand Tours.
